Transport: RER C closures this summer

From 15 July to 26 August 2023, there will be construction works on the RER C line. This may impact your journey to the Eiffel Tower.

How is the traffic impacted?

During this period, traffic will be fully interrupted, in both directions: 
- Between Avenue Henri-Martin and Paris Austerlitz
- Between Javel and Paris Austerlitz

The station Champs de Mars – Tour Eiffel will therefore no longer be served and will be closed.
Traffic will stop at Avenue Henri-Martin (from Pontoise) and Paris Austerlitz (from Saint-Martin d'Etampes).  

Our advice for getting to the Tower

There are many other public transport options for you to get to the Eiffel Tower. 
You can take metro lines 10, 9, 8, and 6 to access the Eiffel Tower, available right throughout the construction works.
Buses 30 and 63 are also available to come to the Eiffel Tower, offering a similar route to the RER C.
From Monday to Sunday, 10 am to 7 pm, the Batobus will drop you off two minutes’ walk from the Eiffel Tower. It’s the perfect opportunity to stroll along the Seine and admire the Tower.
If you have a car, many car parks are available near the Eiffel Tower, particularly the Saemes Quai Branly Tour Eiffel carpark, located two minutes’ walk from entry 2 of the Tower.

Transform your journey into a bike ride

There are many bike paths around the Eiffel Tower. Take the opportunity to enjoy the nice weather and see Paris in another way, by heading to the Tower by bike or scooter.
