1. Introduction
The Société d’Exploitation de la tour Eiffel (SETE) is committed to offering its customers the highest level of security in the protection of their personal data. Such information is given full transparency in order to contribute to the relationship of trust established between SETE and its clients.

 

2. How SETE collects your data  
SETE is required to collect some of your personal data on several occasions: 

  • when submitting an email using the contact form;
  • when buying tickets;
  • when browsing our website;
  • during your visits to the Eiffel Tower;
  • when registering for our newsletters.

 

3. Data collected by SETE

The data collected and processed by SETE falls under the following categories: 

  • identification data (example: first and last name, email address, phone number, etc.)
  • financial data (example: credit card number)
  • connection data (example: cookies)
  • images (example: video protection)

 

4. Use of the data by SETE
SETE only uses your personal data if such usage is based on one of the following legalities:

Your data is used by SETE for several reasons, including:

  • to deliver tickets and give you information regarding your visit of the Tower;
  • to ensure your protection when visiting the Tower;
  • to track your claims and inquiries; 
  • to send you newsletters provided that we have obtained your consent to do so. 

Telephone or electronic contacts may be recorded and read by the SETE and its service providers as part of quality controls.

5. Recipients of the personal data used by the SETE
Your data may be communicated with SETE departments, as well as its subcontractors and service providers whose categories of activities include the following in particular: 

  • providers of security services;
  • call centers;
  • banking institutions involved in payments and the collection of funds;
  • administrations duly authorized to handle tax returns and joint returns. 

It should be noted that SETE makes every effort to ensure that each of its service providers offers sufficient technical and organizational guarantees regarding the protection of personal data.

6. Storage of your personal data 
Your personal data is stored on SETE's and its service providers' servers located in France.  

7. Conservation of your personal dataAll of your personal data is stored in accordance with the regulations in effect. 
The amount of time data is stored varies depending on the nature of the data, the reason it is processed, and the legal and regulatory principles to which it is subjected. For example, the data processed as part of the video protection performed on our site is only kept for 1 month. 
In addition to the amount of time for which it is stored, SETE pays particular care to collect as little data as possible: only adequate and relevant information is collected.

8. Security associated with the processing of your personal data
Société d’Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel pays particular attention to the security of your personal data. In this regard, it implements various technical and organizational measures.
Société d’Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel will notify the CNIL of any breach of your personal data and will inform you if such a breach poses a high risk to your rights and freedoms.

This site uses cookies, which are files stored on your computer allowing easy access to the services offered. Under no circumstances may the cookies on this website be used to collect personal data without your express consent. 10. Your rights regarding your personal data
In accordance with the applicable data protection regulations, you have the following rights with regard to your data:

  • the right to access information about yourself, associated data processing and the nature thereof;
  • the right to rectify personal data, with the possibility of updating or completing it;
  • the right to transfer data in order to transmit it to a third party when technically possible, with the understanding that this right is only applicable to data that you have provided directly to us;
  • the right to determine the handling of your data in the event of your death;
  • the right to delete your information;
  • the right to limit the processing of data pertaining to you;
  • the right to oppose the processing of your data;
  • the right to withdraw consent for the use of your data whenever your consent has been given for such use or processing.

In exceptional cases, Société d’Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel reserves the right not to respond to requests for the exercise of the rights to the deletion, limitation, opposition, or the withdrawal of consent: 

  • when the law requires for Société d’Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel to process your information; 
  • when compliance with contractual obligations so requires;
  • in order to respond to a matter of public interest or to defend a legitimate interest of SETE.

In addition, and in cases when a request or claim is clearly excessive or unfounded, including because of a repetitive nature, Société d’Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel reserves the right to:

  • refuse to honor such requests;
  • demand the payment of reasonable fees, including the administrative costs incurred in providing the information, and to proceed with any communications or take any requested measures.

 

11. Exercising your rights
To exercise your rights, you can send a request including an enclosed copy of your photo ID, either:

A response will be provided within one month, except in the case of a complex request or a large number of requests (in which case you will receive a response within 3 months).
